SPARK (INSPIRE. EMPOWER. IGNITE.) Artist Empowerment Program
This artist empowerment series was created in an effort to provide more opportunity for extraordinary artists to obtain commissions and international collaborative opportunities for both choreography and performance, while providing a platform and supportive, creative space to develop their works. Upon the artist's acceptance to program participation, they utilize research through self-motivated experiences and our program opportunities (master classes, mentorship and community engagement with dance/ music pioneers and civil rights leaders as well as through the accumulation of historical data via various cultural experiences) to create their works for the culminating performance locally and possibly for several other cities and/ or states in the form of a collaborative production with their assigned artist development mentor(s).
