Roger Anthony Romero, also known as the legendary pioneer "Bboy Orko" was born in Nicaragua and raised in Los Angeles, CA since the age of 5.
Bboy Orko has been involved in the Hip Hop culture since 1981. He has performed all around the world with legendary groups such as the Rock Steady Crew, Seven Gems, and the Air Force Crew. His television and film credits include: The Freshest Kids, Soul Train, Fox-TV's hip hop documentary special, and movies Thrashin', Breakin', and Electric Boogaloo. Orko has also performed on the Off Broadway hit musical world tour "Jam on the Groove", and Hip Hop Wonderland, starring Bill Erwin.
Orko has judged Hip Hop competitions which included Hip Hop International Bboy World Battle 2007-2009, Freestyle Session Los Angeles 2007, and Freestyle Session Japan 2006 / 2008, to name a few.
Three decades later, the Great Bboy Orko continues to represent and compete in worldwide Bboy dance competitions as well as educate the youth with outreach and lecture demonstrations. He is currently working on his solo documentary DVD.
